Policies & Procedures

We strongly recommend reserving items in advance to avoid disappointment. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required, along with a signed contract, in order to secure a rental. All charges are for time out, whether used or not, so make your selection carefully. Please call 770-532-4740 to arrange a site survey.

Full payment for all rental fees, deposits, and services is due in advance, on or before delivery, or pickup by the customer. If you wish to open an account, please call for an application.

If a portion of the equipment scheduled for delivery/pickup is reduced or canceled less than 72 hours prior to delivery/pickup date, the charges shall be due and payable per the agreement. Order changes or reductions that can not be accommodated within the 72 hours will result in a $25.00 service charge. We keep the initial 50% non-refundable deposit on any cancellation.

Delivery charges are based upon the area where the delivery/pickup will be made, the on-site location (ex. ground floor or otherwise, deck, up the elevator…) the timing of the delivery/pickup (8-5 Monday through Friday or after hours) as well as other factors. There are additional charges for transporting equipment long distances by hand, moving furniture or other obstacles, climbing stairs, utilizing elevators, etc. Standard deliveries are made to ground level, drive-up set-off locations. Delivery/pickup times are approximate and are subject to change. Lanier Tent Rental will do everything in its power to accommodate customer delivery/pickup time requests. These times are to be scheduled through the office, but drivers can write a pickup time request at time of delivery. We normally deliver/pickup Monday through Friday between 8am and 5pm. During busy times, we may extend these hours for the companies convenience. We prefer to deliver one to two days prior to the event, especially for weddings, to allow clients additional prep time and serve all our customers needs. Lanier Tent does not charge clients for this additional time, because of the convenience it provides the client and Lanier Tent Rental.

We perform pickups in the same manner, especially if there is inclement weather, but prefer to pickup the next business day following your event. For sanitary reasons, all dishes, glasses, serving pieces must be rinsed, food free, and re-packed in the same containers as delivered. Linen should be food free and dry to avoid staining and mildew. Lanier Tent employees do not pickup trash. Garbage must be disposed of from rental garbage containers prior to pickup. All items must be assembled and left in the manner it was delivered by Lanier Tent Rental to avoid additional fees.

Please allow time to check and verify your rental items when you pick them up or they are delivered. This is extremely important to you and us, please let us know immediately if there is a problem. Our item count must be accepted unless notified otherwise. No credit will be given for unused equipment once it has been delivered or picked up by the client.

Customer returns are due by 11:30 A.M. on the due date to avoid a  late fee and a rental fee for each day items are not returned. No pickups or returns are accepted after 4:00 P.M.  Anything disassembled must be reassembled in the manner it was received in.

Responsibility remains with lessee from time of receipt to time of return. Please make
sure equipment is secured when not in use and protected from the weather. We charge for missing, broken, burned, and damaged items. This includes wax on candelabras and linens. Please do not staple into tables and remove any tape used. If equipment has been disassembled for transport and lost, the customer will be charged for parts or replacement cost if necessary.

Setup and breakdown of tables and chairs is not included in the price unless stated. This service is available at a reasonable cost, if arranged in advance. If no arrangements have been made in advance and this service is desired, the customer must notify our office and we will authorize Lanier Tent employees.

All tent or event permits are the responsibility of the lessee, unless you contract us to specifically pull permits. Please check with your local municipality or county for requirements as they differ from place to place. We will supply flame certifications necessary upon request. Lessee is responsible for all damages to, and, for marking all underground obstacles, utilities, sprinklers, etc. prior to crew arrival. If we can not see it, we can not be held responsible for hitting it or repairing it. The call before you dig number is 1-800-282-7411 and should be called well in advance of your event.
